Does Connectify work well with other systems like Webflow?

Connectify is compatible with various systems including Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, and more. The team is developing detailed guides for these CMS platforms to ensure a seamless setup process. For specific guidance on integrating Connectify with Webflow, they offer a comprehensive step-by-step guide available at their website. This resource is designed to provide clarity and support to users, making the integration process as straightforward as possible.

For more details, you can visit our Webflow setup guide directly.

What is the difference between Connectify and a reverse proxy?

In basis Connectify is a reverse proxy made easy for the public. You need no technical knowhow to setup Connectify, which makes it much faster for the common Joe to get things working as it should. But that’s not all, Connectify also has some quality of live improvements like the sitemap connector, which are unique to Connectify.

What is the big issue with multiple services on different (sub)domains?

We call it a scattered website. There is no shame in having a scattered website, but does it look professional? Not really. Does it work great for SEO? Hmm, depends, it could definitely be better. In our opinion bringing all your services back under a single domain is a far superior solution. Create landing pages with tools specialized to do so and connect it within seconds to your main domain. Connect your shop.buisness.com to your main domain and make it better for SEO and improve user experience. Running a restaurant with an external ordering system? Make it part of your site without the hassle of developing some kind of integration.

Can I join the Connectify Beta?

We’ve limited the amount of domains / users we allow to the Beta version of Connectify. Currently we choose random people from our mailing list at random intervals. We do not have a schedule when new spots will be available. The best thing to do when you are interested in joining out Beta is to subscribe to our mailing list. Questions to support regarding joining the Beta or waiting time will be ignored.

Why is my website not showing after everything is active?

If your website isn't showing even after everything is active, it could be due to several reasons such as DNS propagation delays, configuration issues, or caching problems.

This issue often stems from DNS caching. A simple way to check if this is the problem is by accessing the site in an incognito or private browsing mode.

Will there be any downtime for my website?

Yes, there may be brief downtime due to DNS changes when setting up with Connectify. To minimize this, it's advised to configure all necessary paths beforehand. While DNS updates can potentially take up to 24 hours, they are often completed within a few minutes, depending on your hosting provider.

How does Connectify affect the way search engines like Google and Bing index my domains?

When using Connectify, search engines such as Google and Bing continue to primarily focus on your main domain, even as traffic is internally redirected to a subdomain. This means that the search engine optimization (SEO) of your main domain remains unaffected, regardless of whether you’re redirecting visitors to subdomains or running on ‘www’ and ‘non-www’ versions of your site. Connectify ensures that these backend processes do not impact your SEO performance.

How do I connect Connectify to my domain?

You can see Connectify as a little hub between your domain and the connected services. When creating a new domain on your account you will get asked to change the DNS rules of your domain to point to the correct server of Connectify where we host your domain hub. So it’s important that you’ve got access to your domain DNS settings when setting up a new domain on Connectify.

What to do with a path that does not seem to work?

So now and then you could run into a service that does not (yet) work nicely with Connectify. The world wide web is a big place and we can not test every single site or service. If you run into any issues connecting to a service please reach out to support. We might not be able to help you on the spot, but we will try to resolve it and you will help others by identifying problem cases.
